3. Where should I stay?

This is one of the most common questions received by the Travel Office. The Sydney 2009 World Masters Games will be contested in different areas of Sydney. To assist you in finding which Travel Office accommodation options are closest to your sporting venue, we have established several accommodation hubs, which are also close to public transport and other amenities.

When searching for accommodation online, you have the option to search by 'hub' or by sport to be presented with a list of accommodation options in the areas surrounding the sporting venue. Of course, Sydney city itself is a beautiful city and many participants will want to stay in the Central Business District (CBD), so a wide range of options are also on offer in Sydney's CBD and with a direct rail link from Sydney’s Central Station to Sydney Olympic Park.

When viewing the available accommodation within each hub, the Travel Office has provided distance information to other venues and transport, to assist you in choosing the most suitable accommodation for your needs.

4. Are there apartments / shared accommodation options available for my team / friends?

There is something to suit every budget from economy-priced bunk rooms to self-catering apartments and a wide variety of hotels. For group bookings, contact the Games Travel Office directly for assistance. There is considerable demand for group accommodation so we recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.

5. How do I make special requests for my accommodation?

To make a special request for your booking, contact us at the completion of your online reservation, and quote your booking number.

6. Does my accommodation cost include airport transfers?

Accommodation rates listed cover room(s) only. Airport transfers are not included, Sydney Airport is serviced by trains, buses and taxis.

7. How do I book more than one room or vehicle?

Only one item can be added to your shopping cart at a time. Once you have chosen your preferred item, add it to your shopping cart. After the selected item has been added to your shopping cart you can adjust the quantity within the shopping cart. A maximum five of each product (room, rental vehicle etc) is available for purchase online. Please contact us with your request if you require more than five.

8. How do I make changes to my booking?

To request a change to your booking, please contact us directly and quote your booking number.

9. I have some time in Australia before / after the Games, what should I do?

Take advantage of the comprehensive range of pre and post Games touring options offered by the Travel Office. 11. How will I receive my booking confirmation?

On completion of your booking, a message will be displayed on the screen quoting your booking reference number and an email will be sent directly to you, confirming your booking particulars.

12. What do I do if I have not received my booking confirmation?

If you do not receive the confirmation email within 24 hours, please contact us and quote your booking reference number.
